Ceres Plateau |
Witzenberg Mountains

966m – 1036m above sea level

At this elevation

The rhythm of the vine slows.

Pinot Noir Vineyard

982m

Warm days drive flavour development while cold nights preserve acidity and aromatics.

Chardonnay Vineyard

1028m

Planted in 2022 as part of a new-world interpretation of a classic pairing.

Altitude Range

966m - 1036m

Balance is not imposed here, but naturally achieved through site and season.

Altitude. Light. Precision.

Altitude brings freshness

A significant diurnal shift allows the grapes to retain acidity and develop complexity over time.

Light brings intensity

Increased UV exposure at elevation produces smaller berries with thicker skins, enhancing colour, structure, and depth.

Precision guides the process

Carefully selected clones, thoughtful vineyard management, and a commitment to soil health ensure that the site speaks clearly in every vintage.

Mountain Climate

The vineyard sits where snow, stone fruit, and vines share the same horizon.

At this elevation

Not a borrowed wine region. A site that had to be understood from the ground up.

The Ceres Plateau is better known for orchards than vineyards, which is precisely what made the site compelling. Cirrus leans into that difference, allowing altitude and season to shape a cooler, more finely drawn expression.

Farming decisions are made slowly and deliberately, with the vineyard treated less as a production block and more as an ongoing conversation with the mountain.
